It was a great pleasure to have the Right Rev Roger Morris, Bishop of Colchester, continue the participation of the Bishops of Colchester in this historic ceremony. The Mayor of Brightlingsea’s head Cinque Port of Sandwich was also present, as were other Cinque Port mayors from Kent and Essex coastal mayors. We were grateful as always for the active support of owners & skippers of the historic fishing Smacks and sailing barge in taking part in the historic event, plus that of many others for also taking part.
